Soul Purpose “The Call to Adventure”

deathadvisor2-300x188

Like Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit, or Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, whether intentional or accidental, we are all called to action in the personal myth-story of our life. Joseph Campbell, the distinguished mythologist, proposed this initial stage in what he called “The Hero’s Journey.”

In Jungian psychology and Processwork theory we associate this calling with our childhood dreams, memories and fascinations. As an adult looking back over our personal history, they are the stepping-stones to our origins, the theme of our existence.

These stepping-stones, or breadcrumbs, as in the German fairytale Hansel and Gretel walking through the dark woods, help us from being lost in unknown territory so we can find our way home.

Many spiritual teachers emphasize the importance of recognizing and embracing one’s soul purpose, our sacred mission. Oprah Winfrey has dedicated her “Super Soul Sunday” programs to this very quest, sharing the knowledge of many guides to support our greatest adventure, our life.

When Oprah asks, “What is the Soul?” we hear the wisdom of these teachers…

The lure of our becoming.
— Jean Houston

It is your internal reference point with which you should always be in touch.
— Deepak Chopra

It is the Truth of us…
— Marianne Williamson

The Soul is the 4G network right to Heaven.
— DeVon Franklin

The Soul is the spiritual essence of who we really are.
— Sarah Ban Breathnach

In a recent interview, Jean Houston turned the focus around onto Oprah to which she responded, “I want to go out like a comet knowing I really fulfilled the Mission.” She then continued by explaining her Vision for that mission. We all have the potential to be amazingly successful when we have a clear understanding of our Soul Purpose and can recite it by heart.

MY WORK WITH SOUL PURPOSE

My experience in counseling and teaching these past 25 years revealed a profound theme running though each client’s question and life….the search for Truth and purpose. I have helped thousands of souls in what some call Soul Retrieval, what I call “Soulful Counseling,” to reconnect with their most wonderful self and life.

With this in mind and heart, I developed a course which guides students from the breadcrumbs of their past, noting the highlighted stepping-stones of their memories and dreams, to reveal their greatest strengths and align with their most wonderful vision of their life purpose. Tapping your potential, hoisting your sails, and setting your course naturally lead you to your most wonderful success.

This winter this course is offered in Portland, Oregon at New Renaissance Bookshop (NRB) as the “Soul Weekend.” It is an opportunity to reboot and refresh your life’s direction, to be more successful, and to realize greater fulfillment.

Please join me, Katrina Wynne, and my new co-teacher, Jennifer Diallo, for the “Soul Weekend,” a personal investment that will surely change your life. We offer three opportunities to interact with this powerful material starting with…
